How to make good pots

For sure you may have heard about the importance of good content online and for sure you may have encountered blogs stressing the importance of good quality post. Content is king - that's what websites say. Go for quality post - is a common advise you get from most bloggers. But do these things matter to you?

If you want to become a successful blogger then the whole idea of good content and quality post will matter most to you.

But what do you think makes a good post? Can you squarely answer the question? If yes and you practice the art of making a good post then you are on the right track to succeed. Unless you can define what makes a good post you can never make one. That's it. You can never make one good quality post if you cannot articulate what makes a good post.

So, what makes a good post? I have lists some of the things I believe that makes a good post. See if you can agree with me or if you can add more.

  • It is on-topic within the bound of your blog's theme.
  • An original message
  • A useful topic, easily broadened to be useful to a large number of readers
  • It has good, clear title and informative subject line
  • Include "hot" links for more details
  • It is timely, about current information
  • Long length is alright but shorter messages are better than long ones
  • Picture inclusion is a plus, if you can use video, even better
  • Short paragraphs read well
  • Keep the action going and doesn't slow down the rest of the plot
  • One that allows your character to interact with others
  • One that provides other members with an opportunity to carry on from it - one that stimulates interaction
  • Employ simple language with no useless jargon
  • Focusing on something that people have previously taken for granted and causes the reader to look at the world differently all day long
  • Makes others want to post as well
  • It says something in agreement to someone else and adds a bit
  • Have links that are either authorative on your topic or that capture some obscure, but highly useful piece of related knowledge
  • Get to the point quickly

The above lists are the things I believe that makes a good post. I'm sure the list is not complete and you may have your own definition on what makes a good post. If you have something valuable to add, you are welcome to place it the comment area.

Remember, unless you can define what makes a good post you can never make one.

Good luck!
